My new weight bench.
I got my christmas present a little eary this year. I got a Gold's Gym olympic weight bench. This lady sold me this bench for 75 dollars the bench retails at 250 dollars. Heather found the ad for me in the newspaper. I told her to keep an eye out for a bench for me. This bench was never used and it doesn't have any scratches. The model is about a year old though. All I can say is What A STEAL OF A DEAL!! I currently do not have any weights yet but all in good time. This is a picture from my cell phone. Sorry it isn't a better quality picture.

Laser Eye Surgery
Some of you may or may not know that I had laser eye surgery Nov 13th, 2009. I am already seeing atleast 20/20. My vision is still a little fuzzy or cloudy but I can see pretty good without glasses. I already feel so free without glasses and I can tell my life will never be the same ever again. I didn't feel a single thing during my 4 minute laser surgery. I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes for about 1.5 hours afterwards. I have to continually put eye drops in my eyes every half hour but that is only to keep my eyes moist. My mother helped pay for a large portion of the surgery. I will be paying her back for most of her help. I do work... I substitute teach 1-2 times a week. I get paid 70 dollars a day to substitute teach because I am now a certified teacher for the state of Idaho. I am currently planning on taking the GRE so I can apply to a masters program at utah state, or U of U or somewhere in Utah. I am considering a masters in health ed and promotion. Well that is the latest update in my life. THE END

latest news
substitute teachers are called at 5:30 in the morning and then at 6:00 in the morning and then at 6:30 in the morning. Fri morning phone never stopped ringing..Oh I need more sleep..make it stop.. I got called in the morning to be in a resource class with handicapp kids and I was like I am no babysitter. I wouldn't know what to do. Then I got called to teach math (I was like heck no). Then got a call to teach band to 7th graders...lol I have never played a band instrument in my life. Then finally the calling stopped and I got a few hours of sleep. Why couldn't I just get offered a gig teaching a normal core subject other than math. I am turning my phone off Thursday night from now on. well I turned down some jobs. I do have a block midterm class to study for anyways. well peace

I am way excited that I have a picture of me reading a horse. I dont know why but I am. Horseback riding in Island park on Jacobs ranch was cool. I would start to trot at a slow pace and Shawna's horse would start to trot behind me to keep up and Shawna would yell, "slow down!"

I am currently attempting to get into a chemistry class and a abnormal psychology class at the university place in Idaho Falls. I am going to sign up to be on the substitute teacher lists for the days that I will not be in class. My latest career flavor of the week idea is physician's assistant. All I know is that I am thinking of doing something in the health care field. peace

well lately I have been thinking about applying to Boise state university to their masters in Arts counseling program. They dont require the GRE or any test. Their admission requirements are based on interview, resume, and experience. Since I just finished student teaching I have a great resume with references, and experience with teaching. If all else fails I will just go to music school and become a rockstar.

9 days
9 days until I get my pin pulled out of my toe. May 18th is the day where I will throw my crutches down and throw my boot across the room and then I will walk. I have walked with a special boot for 1 month now. I have been using crutches to hop to classes at BYUI everyday. I have been able to walk around the house without any crutches just walking on the heel of my boot. This surgery has not bee painful other than the first couple days after the surgery. However it has been a frustrating experience to tie garbage bags around my foot everytime I shower, and to have to sit in a chair everytime I shower. I have been in constant fear of putting too much weight on my toes and accidentally snapping the pin in my toe. My doctor told me if I ever put too much weight on my toes the pin in my toe could break. It is tiring walking on your heel all day long. I am hoping and praying that this surgery was successful and that it will heal correctly. I am sick of having surgeries and being laid up and having to stay at home. I recently just read book two of of the Eragon series. The second book was called Eldest, and I read the third book called Brisinger. Apparently there is a 4th book in the series which Christopher paolini hasnt written yet. I was left hanging at the end of the third book with the biggest cliffhanger ending of any book. I was hoping for the third book to end the series but instead the book dragged on and didn't end. I did however like the books even though the author didn't finish the story. I wouldn't suggest reading the books yet since the 4th book isn't finished yet. I am still career searching and soul searching for what I am supposed to do with my life and I currently have no idea. Thanks for reading about another chapter in Rees Riddoch's life. We will see you next week and have a good night. peace out

This pic I found on Mum's camera and I thought it was good so I added it. It is of some neices and nephews last Halloween. Bella was wearing the wrong costume for her fierce look. I also like how one of the twins is waving to the camera man.

For some odd reason Brant didn't want to be seen in any of the pictures with me. I thought this was a good pic nonetheless. This pic was also taken at the Colorado Rockies game.

My family and I attended a Colorado Rockies game last summer or the summer before. It is all a haze the exact date. I have had too many prescription drugs for one life time. lol j/k.

Right now I am hoping to get back into BYUI as a non traditional student even though I just graduated from there. If I get back in I will be starting school April 20th 2009. I will be attending while on crutches and with a special boot. I am currently trying to finish the physical therapy prerequisites. I am also job searching for any type of job that a Health Ed major could apply for (mostly jobs that dont deal with teaching). I will probably be commuting to BYUI this semester from I.F.
peace out

Give me liberty or chop off my foot
I will be having my third and hopefully last foot surgery after student teaching this April. If any family members want to visit during the month of April I will be home. My surgery will cost around 3000 dollars. Also I am told that I will have a pin down the length of my ring finger toe for 5 weeks. One doctor told me I should be able to put partial weight on my foot after a week or two. That is my lastest news. Peace out

I got evaluated by my supervisor for midterms for being a student teacher. I got evaluated on a scoring system of 1-4. Number one means you are horrible and number 4 meaning an outstanding teacher. I got all (4's) and two (3)'s so basically I rocked my supervisor's world. I got about as good of a evaluation as you can get.
That is my latest news...

music recording deal
I just got an email sent to my myspace account. There is a company called quickstar productions who wants me on their next emo (genre of music) compilation cd. The company told me that they liked my song, "Love never Dies." They told me that I would get 50% of profits on people who buy my song on itunes. They want me to pay 165 bucks for 50 cd's that I would get that I could sell at whatever price I wanted. They told me if I sold the cd's for 8 bucks i could make 400 bucks. I am excited about this deal and I am going to research this company out and make sure they are legit. I did listen to some previous compilation cd's on iTunes. The compilation cd they want me on is called 11 hour confessions. I think this would be a cool opportunity to get my music out. This cd would be advertised by different artists and it would be passed out and sold at concerts. It would even be put on various radio stations throughout the world. This deal may be a sham but I am going to look into you. Peace out

I got my first evaluation from my supervisor. I got an average score of 2.5 out of 4. A score of 2 is average, 3 is above average, and 4 means you are an outstanding teacher. I am fairly happy with my score. My supervisor had high expectations. I dont really care if I am an outstanding teacher. I just want to pass student teaching with semi good scores. This whole experience has taught me that I need more schooling so I dont have to live the life of a teacher. I spend my evenings grading papers and preparing lesson plans. I want a job where I work 8 hours a day and that is all the work I put in for that day. I have no time right now for anything but being a teacher.
Peace out sincerely, Rees

my new student teaching life
Student teaching: So you might be curious to know about my student teaching. Right now I am observing 3 health classes and one history class. I will be teaching one health class and my only history class on Monday. I will be progressively adding more health classes throughout the weeks until I am teaching all day. I have some concerns for teaching history. My history class I am going to teach is out of control. My history teacher is not my favorite person. I have my work cut out for me as a student teacher. I am a little stressed as of right now. I am going to be coming up with 2 lesson plans a day until April. I like teaching my major health. I am going to do my best to see if there is any way I can get out of teaching my minor. I will be extremely busy for the next couple of months.
Sincerely, Rees Riddoch
